FMFB: Give us your take on the current state of the music industry
Daniel: Well it's kinda went back to the way it was in the 60's, lots of indies doing
things by themselves. But the worst part is businesses are still promoting
a lot of bullshit. Although I do like Hannah Montana.
FMFB: Do
you prefer things were like the old days when major labels still threw
major money around to sign artist, or do you prefer the current state
of affairs
Daniel: It's
also a choice of the lesser of two evils. Remember, even though they
threw loads of money around they still had the choice to do nothing
with you.
FMFB: Has
there ever been a moment where you've been fed up with the music
business?
FMFB: Yes,
like now.
FMFB: Your
most elated moment as a musical artist and explain in detail |
 |
 |
Daniel: Opening
for the Pixies during surfer rosa tour
FMFB: You
covered "Dress You Up" by Madonna and you made it your own.
If Madonna were to cover an Apollo Heights song which song will you
like to see her cover and why?
Daniel: A
song called "I Wish" because her voice would be good for
it.
FMFB: You've
been around for a minute and you've shared the stage with some major
acts, who will you like to share the stage with?
Daniel: U2,
RadioHead, The National, Broken Social Scene, Blonde RedHead |
FMFB: Are
there any collaborations with other artist on or producers coming up
and if given the choice who will be your ideal collaborator?
Daniel: Robert
Smith would be interesting. But at the moment we have further plans
to work more with Robin Guthrie.
FMFB: Are
there any young guns out there you think have the ultimate potential
Daniel: I
don't really listen to tell the truth. I quite like the Horrors though.
FMFB: Barack
or Hilary? |
 |
Daniel: Hard one. Can I say Bilary?
FMFB: To flip it, "Black Music For White People" current
day artist you think personifies said name.
Daniel: Gwen
Stefani, Ah.. lemme see.... Any guy of dubious parentage singing midtempo
dance music, has questionable sexuality with baseball hat, exceptionable
facial hair, and baggy jeans.
Holla.
