Melinda Davis
A very marketable easy on the eyes singer with major
potential to take over the charts. Yes, we brought her
to your attention first, check out her bio below.
What makes an artist stand out? The songs and voice
of course! Melinda's emphasis on songwriting, melody,
and lyrics is apparent in all of her songs, which are
intelligent yet accessible.
The songs, paired with her distinctive vocals, allow the
listener to truly feel the emotions behind the songs. Melinda
started writing songs because it was in her to do it. She
started playing classical guitar as a child and also wrote
poems. So, as part of a seemingly natural progression,
she started writing songs. She began recording some of
her songs at local studios.
These
songs eventually reached the ears of Jason Davis, who
connected her with the producers she worked with for
her current demo. She first recorded "Away with Me" with
Santiago, followed by "Moving On" and "Another Way" produced
by John DeGrazio. To complete the demo, Melinda went
to LA to work with Drew Ferrante on "The Best of Me".
Melinda plays at venues in NJ and NY.
She performs both solo and with her band. She is lucky
enough to be accompanied by 3 very experienced and talented
musicians: Bill Wood on lead guitar, George Andrew on
drums, and Jim Goodwin on bass. Their combined musical
talents help to make Melinda's set stand out whenever
she performs. Also, because of her half-Filipino heritage,
she is often asked to play at Filipino charity events.
Melinda's songs have reached the Top Ten list on Broadjam.com
for 2 different categories: Pop/Rock and New Jersey artists.
Her
demo has been in playlist rotation at 90.3 RLC-WVPH
FM "The Core" Rutgers radio. She has been a spotlight
artist featured on letsrockamerica.com
