FMFB welcomes rising star Carlos Campos. We are proud to feature this incredibly talented designer and his super cool creations.
Raised in Honduras, designer Carlos Campos grew up in a tailoring and design household.
Inspired by his father , Campos quickly
learned the
skills of his father’s trade. At
the age of thirteen, Carlos Campos set
out to see the world and he soon found
himself in the big Apple.
Campos studied fashion design at the
Fashion Institute of Technology. He
has helped create costumes for many acclaimed
plays including “The
Invention of Love”, “The Graduate”, “The Light in the
Piazza”, “Fiddler
on the Roof”, and “Jersey Boys”. After launching his self-titled
label,
Campos soon co-founded a second label, Guido New York.
Campos’ designs
have been worn by the likes of Justin
Timberlake,
Ricky Martin, The Scissor
Sisters and
The Killers. He has appeared
on Style, VH1, ET,
and A&E. Photo editorials
and features include national and international
magazines such as DNR, Esquire,
Numero Homme, Flaunt,
Arena, Gotham, People,
Time-Out New York and Entertainment
Weekly. Industry awards include
nominations for the Ecco-Domani
Fashion
Foundation Award for Excellence
in Menswear Design, The Fashion
Group International’s Rising
Star Award, and consideration for
the coveted CFDA Award.
Currently, Campos designs his own line
of clothing. The Carlos Campos
label is a relaxed and modern menswear collection featuring
well-tailored pieces constructed from exceptional fabrics. Carlos
Campos’ designs are sold in finer boutiques throughout New York, Los
Angeles, Atlanta and Barcelona. Campos also has a made-to-measure studio
in New York City.
